Joel Wintermantle is a Chicago-based photographer specializing in photojournalism and wedding photography. After graduating from Columbia College Chicago in 2003 he has had the privilege of working as a staff and freelance photojournalist in the Detroit, New York, and Chicago markets. In this time his work has appeared on the pages of USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, the LA Times, New York Magazine and numerous other publications.
Joel lives in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village neighborhood with his wife Jessica and their two giant cats. His loves include Leicas, toy cameras and documenting American culture. When not behind the camera, he can be found at the grill experimenting with the art of smoked meat.
